Mexican (left photo) and American neck plates have the standard 4 bolt rectangle configuration. Any Fender neck plate with the standard 4 bolt set up will work on a lefty neck and body. Deluxe neck plates (right) have the staggered holes and a 5th hole for tilt adjustment. Lefty Deluxe neck plates are rare and can cost up to $50.
Mexican tremolo covers are basic (left photo). American and Deluxe covers show much more detail and quality (right). These parts will seldom be seen since they are on the back of the guitar. |
